HOW THIS CLASS WORKS

This is a guided workshop where artist Stephanie Weaver will walk you through how to paint a particular subject using an alla prima technique (meaning all at once), which will result in a finished painting you get to take home!

WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR

- Must be 16 years and up:

- This class is ideal for students who have had some previous drawing or painting instruction and who want to improve their skills using oils.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

- Learn how light, color, texture, line, contrast and perspective help create the illusion of space—and more impactful works of art!

CLASS SIZE: Classes are limited to 10 to ensure individual attention.

If you bring supplies here are the general supplies you'll need

SUPPLIES YOU'LL NEED:

• 8x10" Ampersand Gessobord
• Odorless mineral spirits for brush cleaner (like Gamsol) . NO TURP!
• Medium: Galkyd
• Brushes you prefer
• Papertowel/rags
• Palette
• Pencil
• Graphite paper (in this class Stephanie will have you trace, if you'd like to learn her drawing techniques I'd recommend attending her weekly paint sessions).

• Alizarin Crimson
• Cadmium Yellow Medium
• Titanium White

If you have painted this before with me or want to paint two paintings, bring these colors too!
