HOW THIS LIVE MODELING SESSION WORKS

Get ready for a fun and festive Girls' Night Out like no other! On December 14th, join us for "The Santa’s You’ve Dreamed About: Live Model Portrait Session," where you and your friends will get the chance to sketch and paint Santa Claus in all his holiday glory.

Whether you're an experienced artist or just looking for a unique night out, this event promises laughter, creativity, and a little holiday magic. Bring your own supplies (or use our sketch pads, and your holiday cheer as we enjoy an evening of art, light refreshments, and plenty of festive vibes!

Studio 270 at Huntsville Art Supplies inside Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment

WHEN:
December 14, 2024
6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
Sign up by December 10th to secure your spot.

WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR?

• Women Only. 
• Participants must be 18 and up.
• This session is perfect for both novice and experienced artists.

CLASS SIZE:
Limited to 15 students for ample space for students and model.

TICKET PRICE:

• $75 per person (sketching supplies are provided by Huntsville Art Supplies but you are welcome to bring additional materials if you'd like to paint).
• Light refreshments will be provided, and you are welcome to bring snacks to share with the group.
• If you need supplies, purchase local at Huntsville Art Supplies

Minimum number of participants is 6, if we have less than 6 students the class will be canceled and the funds refunded. 

HOW YOU CAN CREATE:

Santa will strike some festive, yet flirty poses, giving you the chance to capture his six-pack in your own creative style—whether you sketch, paint, or work in another medium.

The session will follow a traditional figure drawing format: starting with quick gesture sketches, moving into longer studies, and finishing with an extended pose. There will be a break for Santa to recharge, ensuring plenty of time for you to perfect your holiday masterpiece!

WHAT TO BRING (Optional Packing List, Huntsville Art Supplies is providing Mixed Media Paper, Vine Charcoal, Pencils and Eraser):

here’s a general list of what might come in handy:

• Canvas, sketchpad, or preferred surface
• Your favorite paints (acrylics, oils, watercolors) or drawing tools (pencils, charcoal, pastels) - water jars are available
• Brushes, palette, and easel (if needed, table top easels are available)
• Any other materials that inspire your creativity!

All of these supplies are available at Huntsville Art Supplies if you need to stock up before class!
