12/11 - Santa’s Studio: Live Model Portrait Session

HOW THIS LIVE MODELING SESSION WORKS

Join us for a magical evening of art and creativity as we paint or sketch the authentic Santa Claus. Whether you prefer painting or drawing, this class is designed for artists of all levels to capture the holiday spirit with a live Santa model. You bring your favorite supplies, and we’ll provide the festive atmosphere!

LOCATION:
Studio 270 at Huntsville Art Supplies inside Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment

WHEN:
December 11, 2024
6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
Sign up by December 7th to secure your spot.

WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR?

• Open to participants aged 16 and up, this session is perfect for both novice and experienced artists.

CLASS SIZE:
Limited to 15 students for ample space for students and model.

TICKET PRICE:

• $45 per person (bring your own supplies, this include model fee).
• If you need supplies, purchase local at Huntsville Art Supplies
• Light refreshments will be provided, and you are welcome to bring snacks to share with the group.

Minimum number of participants is 7, if we have less than 7 students the class will be canceled and the funds refunded. 

HOW YOU CAN CREATE:

Santa will pose in classic holiday fashion, and you’re free to capture him in your own style—whether you choose to sketch, paint, or explore other mediums. The session will follow the classic figure drawing agenda: gesture drawings, longer sketches, and then into the main long pose with a break for the model. 

WHAT TO BRING (Optional Packing List):

here’s a general list of what might come in handy:

• Canvas, sketchpad, or preferred surface
• Your favorite paints (acrylics, oils, watercolors) or drawing tools (pencils, charcoal, pastels) - water jars are available
• Brushes, palette, and easel (if needed, table top easels are available)
• Any other materials that inspire your creativity!

All of these supplies are available at Huntsville Art Supplies if you need to stock up before class!
