So, last week we focused on our thankfulness, which addresses the past and the present. This week we focus on the future.

[00:00:00] Hey, positive partners, I’m Stephanie Weaver, fine art artist and founder of the Positive Painters Community. And welcome to another week of this video newsletter where I’m going to be talking a little bit about what’s happening and what’s coming up.
[00:00:11] So last week, we started talking about an attitude of gratitude, and we’ve really focused on two words, goals and gratitude. Those two simple words address three big subjects: past, present, and future. So last week we talked about what are we thankful for, and that really addressed the past and the present. Now we’re going to talk about what are we going to be Thankful for. What are we hoping to achieve in 2021, so that’s where this attitude of gratitude question of the week happens, list three things that you are looking forward to in 2021.
[00:00:48] So I’m going to click on this link and that’s going to pull up the discussion. So here is the total question. Keeping along with last week’s theme of an attitude of gratitude. This year has been a challenging one for everyone, in one way or another. But as we demonstrated last week, we have so much to be thankful for. So with that heart of thankfulness and as an added challenge, without saying the word 2020, what are the three things you are looking forward to in the new year? And if you’re working on that vision board that we talked about in the last lunch and learned this should probably be a pretty easy question for you. If not, it’s really going to start prompting you to start working on that vision board, because remember, in January, we have part two of planning mindfully with action where we really break down all those goals and move them forward into action.
[00:01:43] So, what are the three things that you were looking forward to in 2021? That’s the discussion of the week.
We also have on our weekly activities is the positive painter social media sharing. So if we go back to my home, this first pin at the top, social media sharing for positive painter pro members, this is only available to positive painter pro members. So if you are a business and you’ve posted a new blog post or a new piece of artwork or maybe something for sale in your shop, this is your opportunity to have more than yourself share this post. So you come in here and you can click on the link and what you’ll do, just scroll down, hit reply, and include the link that you want us to share. So this is a giver’s gain type of attitude here. You put in your link and then you share everybody else’s link and we share your link. And that way you get exposed to more than just your audience without having to pay any social media platforms to share this, thereby increasing your reach. Also, when you post somebody else’s information, that makes you the go-to person for your audience as someone who knows other artists and promotes other artists.
[00:03:07] And that just makes you look at to. All right, so it’s all that givers gain. That’s what we’re talking about here.
[00:03:13] As I mentioned earlier about that vision board and Lunch and Learn. So in January, we have coming up part two of the lunch and learn if you haven’t done so, go ahead and register for that. To register, go on events and you click on this lunch and learn “plan mindfully with action”. You’re going to click on that. And that will then you’re going to click on the register button. Go ahead and register for that is on January 14th, where we’re going to take those goals that you have in mind and break them down for action.
[00:03:46] Once you sign up for the Lunch and Learn, you will receive via email the Zoom link. Make sure you hold on to that and go ahead and add this to your Google calendar or your calendar so you don’t forget. There are notifications that are sent out, but sometimes you just miss them. Not all of us sit and wait for emails.
[00:04:01] Right, OK, so go ahead and sign up for that.
[00:04:05] Now I am actually doing that lunch and learn as well. So I have been putting together my vision board and I’m going to share that with you for a moment because it actually led me to do something else that’s going to benefit you guys. So this is my little vision board right here. I’m actually using the digital version that Julie McCullough has on her website. And I’ll include a link to this so you can go do that if you’d rather have a digital version. The beauty of the digital version is I can have it on my phone at the same time and they both kind of sync up. So that way, as ideas spark, I can put it in there and address it later. So anyway, that’s my vision board. But as I was putting this together, you know, I’ve already got several months already planned for the positive painter community and I’ll include a link to that so you can go and see what’s on the roadmap for the next several months.
[00:05:02] But I’m going to expand that because look what I’ve been doing. There are lots of ideas for the positive painters, both in terms of art challenges and then also for art business growth.
[00:05:17] So we are going to have in April our first webinar. And for the positive painter members, this is going to be free. For nonmembers, it’s going to be $24.95. So if you’re not a member, you might consider it right now. The webinar that we’re going to have is basically how to conduct the giveaway. And so if you’ve been on my website, for now, a little bit, you’ll notice a new pop up that’s coming up that says, hey, I’ve got a giveaway that’s coming up. Do you want to be notified type of thing. And so you sign up and you’ll start in that notification stream. So I would also encourage you to do that.
[00:05:57] So, just keep an eye out on the website. And, of course, I’ll be talking about it here.
[00:06:01] But as I was doing this, putting this plan together, I came upon a need for you to have this.
[00:06:13] This Etsy yearly planning overview. So, you know, not only do we as business owners need to be cognizant of upcoming artworks and commissions and things that we’re working on, but we also need to be cognizant of upcoming sales. So I put together this planning worksheet. You can go to my home, click on members only. And there is a section that’s going to continue to grow as our library of documentation grows. So right here is this Etsy yearly planning worksheet. So you can go ahead and click the download and that’s going to bring you automatically your yearly planning and I’m going to pull it up. So you take a sneak peek here.
So this is your Etsy yearly planning overview and so you can pull this into your digital planner and write on your digital planner or you can just print it out, whatever you’re comfortable with, and start really thinking about what products or prints or whatever you might want to sell each month. So I’ve added that into there for positive painter members only section because I found it helpful. And you might as well.
[00:07:23] So that’s one of the new things, and again, that was under my home and then in the members-only section.
[00:07:30] And for the pet portrait, folks, if you’re interested in getting a pet portrait completed by me, please contact me before the year is over, because in January my prices are going up.
[00:07:42] I have not increased my prices for over a year. And it’s time because everything else is going up.
[00:07:49] So is my demand on my time. And so I need to address that. So again, if you are interested in the pet portrait, go ahead and contact me before January and you’ll be locked into the current rate. All right. So that was that.
[00:08:08] And so what we also have coming up this week, it’s going to start on the 29th is a giveaway. So this giveaway, the 1st place prize is about $1500 value. You get to be a positive painter pro plus for three months. So with that Positive Painter Pro Plus’s is you get access to all the courses plus a one-hour coaching per month with me where we talk about your art business or your art, it’s kind of up to you on what we talk about. It’s very much individualized based on the needs that you have. So if you aren’t signed up yet, when you go into positive painters, you go to Stephanie Weaverartist.com, scroll down a little bit, there’s a little pop up is going to show up or I’m going to also include a link into this post so that you can sign up to get notified of that.
[00:09:05] So that giveaway again starts this week. It’s going to be running for a month so that you have lots of opportunities. There are going to be daily opportunities to be able to earn additional spots to get first place, second place, or third place. There’s going to be one first-place winner, that’s for three months. Two Second-place winners will be selected to receive two months of positive paper plus. And those first and second places also get a really neat Tumbler, 20 oz Tumbler for the positive painters that says ‘when this is empty, I’ll be ready to paint’. And it’s kind of a fun little piece. And then there will be three third-place winners who will get one month of positive pro membership, plus the twenty-ounce Tumbler. So go ahead and sign up for that. And so you enter for a chance to win.
[00:09:54] Yeah, I’m super excited about that. And that will also lead you to what our big webinar will be in April where we really get to talk about this. So I will have live data to actually show you how giveaways are so beneficial to your business and more things.
[00:10:14] OK, so we’re going to go under classes here.
[00:10:18] All right. Starting in January, we are going to start painting something like this. This is a painting that I’m started on and is not finished.
[00:10:28] But as a group oil painting project within my live oil painting group, we are going to be working on that through the next, probably, couple of months. So if you are interested in joining that oil painting group, please go to your classes, scroll all the way down and there is a form at the bottom that says interested in the group live oil painting.
[00:10:52] And this is where you can tell me a little bit about yourself. It also says when the classes are and how much the whole month is, and it’s up to you whether you come to one session or all the sessions per week, it’s based on your schedule, your need. You can bring in a project that you’re working on or you can participate in the group project that’s kind of up to you. And so go ahead and fill out that form, click submit. I get notified when that happens. And this class is limited to ten people per class to ensure that there is individual attention during the meeting and also so that you can start building relationships with these other artists because this really allows that collaboration and that ability to grab ideas that spark other ideas that you can’t get when you’re painting by yourself. So it’s just a great environment to be in. Everybody is very positive, very uplifting, and forward-thinking, and it’s just a great group of people to be around.
[00:11:56] So if you’re interested in that, please fill out this form and I will get notified and be in touch with you.
[00:12:02] And then last, I’m going to show you under artwork, I have been busy, so I’ve actually put up five things this past week.
[00:12:12] So some of these, if you follow me on the Instagram and you know, the Facebook and all that, you’ve probably seen these before, but they’re finally available in prints. So this is print is called Cabernet Creek. It is available in a print now.
[00:12:28] And you can see these. An action here. I love this painting, it’s one of those that glows when the light hits it because of the way that I use the cadmium yellow with titanium white and kept the layers really thin in the sky. So they just really just glow. And there are some just gorgeous oranges up in there that just look like the trees just cut those light coming through it like it’s on fire.
[00:12:57] I love this painting. This is one of my favorites.
[00:13:00] Cabernet Creek is now available and a canvas wrap and you can choose the size. It’s free shipping within the US. If you make a purchase for me, I could tell you you’ve made my day.
[00:13:17] Also up is this one; bird in flight and this one is available in various sizes as well. You just kind of choose the size at best fits for you, your budget, or your space, whichever one is most important to you. And this one is just beautiful in any space. This painting was inspired because I was on the corner of Winchester and Bell Factory here in Huntsville and I looked up and I saw a white dove. And it just struck me, how often do you see a white dove? And I knew I had to paint it. So I created this painting of a bird in flight.
[00:13:59] And it’s got multiple layers that you can just watch it take off and take flight. So this is Bird in flight, free shipping in the US.
[00:14:10] And this last painting that I posted and again, these are all gallery wraps prints is this lion and blue-eyed lion that I did in 3-D effect. And he comes in various sizes and he was just one that was inspired based on this kind of a dream or a vision of a blue-eyed lion. And he just seemed to want to just talk with me and kind of hang out with me type of thing, and so I painted him. The original is only an eight by ten. So you can actually get this much larger than that. You can choose from six sizes. And it’s a painting that’ll move with you. It’s really just neat to sit and look at it. It is peaceful if you’re peaceful and it’s judgey, if you’re judging, it’s just a neat painting to have around and see how it moves you when you are moved.
[00:15:22] So I love this painting and you can choose which size you would like in your home.
[00:15:27] And then last I actually designed two pieces of clothing. So this is a pair of pajama bottoms. So the pajama bottoms have palettes all over them and then a shirt that kind of goes with it that says ‘I dream in color’ and I just think those two would go really well together. I love this. I dream in color.
[00:15:49] It is Bella brand. And so it’s super, super soft and it’s got some gorgeous colors. I am so excited to get the neon blue one. It comes in Kelly. Green, black, navy, neon blue and neon pink. And my personal favorite is this blue one. I’m going to order that one.
[00:16:13] So yeah, if you want some comfortable pajamas that are for you or for a friend, these are some great gifts, gift ideas.
[00:16:21] And you can go under the artwork and check out some of the latest things that I’ve been uploading and designing and just having a good old time with. So, yeah, check that out. You can check it out on my website or you can go to my Etsy shop, which is artfurpaws.esty.com. And remember that ten percent will go to a non-profit animal welfare organization.
[00:16:44] So that is it for this week and kind of what’s been happening last week. Don’t forget to go and answer the discussion of the week, which is the attitude of gratitude, list three things that you’re looking forward to in 2021. And don’t forget that you can also visit this newsletter every week over on your positive community, it will appear on your upper left. So that way you can either read this, watch it or whatever kind of floats your boat on that.
[00:17:15] And next time we’ll chat is going to be next year. So have a happy New Year. Stay safe, happy and healthy and happy painting!
